  • 450 MW RADES C COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT PROJECT 450 MW RADES C COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT PROJECT Tunusia Sumitomo Corporation (SC) - Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) Consortium

    Project Description

    The main EPC contract was signed between Tunusia Electric and Gas Ministration - STEG (La Société Tunisienne de l'Electricité et du Gaz) and Sumitomo Corporation (SC) - Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) Consortium on 19 June of 2017 located in Rades, Tunisia. After that, the EPC subcontract agreement was signed between GAMA Power Systems and Sumitomo Corporation dated on 17 July of 2017. Notice to Proceed instruction has been received on 22 August 2017. Employer’s financing shall be provided by Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

    SC-MHPS Consortium scope comprises the design and procurement of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generators HRSG, Steam Cycle Piping and Bypass system, Condenser, DCS systems. Moreover, the scope covers the commissioning of these equipments.
     
    GAMA Power Systems scope includes; supply of RMS(Reducing and Measuring System), Gas Compressor, Auxiliary Boiler, Liquid Fuel System, Desalination System, Water Treatment Plant, Fire Fighting and Detection System, Transformers, By-pass Stack and in addition to this scope design of all buildings and related infrastructures is under the scope of GAMA. All procurement, design, civil and electromechanical construction-assembly and commissioning works related to these equipments are to be carried out by GAMA.
     
    Considering the installed capacity which constitutes 10% of the overall capacity and the increased power demands in Tunisia, STEG decides to proceed the Rades C Combined Cycle Power Plant Project.

  • 1800 MW ALBA LINE 6 EXPANSION, POWER STATION 5 PROJECT 1800 MW ALBA LINE 6 EXPANSION, POWER STATION 5 PROJECT BAHRAIN Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (ALBA)

    Project Description

    GAMA Power Systems and GE Global Parts & Products GMBH as closed Consortium signed the Limited Notice to Proceed agreement with Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C(ALBA) on 04 August 2016 for 1800 MW power plant to be operational with natural gas and liquid oil. EPC Contract is signed on 20 January 2017.

    With the investment of the 1800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant project, Employer Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (ALBA), targets to provide energy for the new “Smelter Expansion” project as well as development of the current power supply units with the new technology gas turbines providing higher efficiency. The energy to be provided to the new “Smelter Expansion” project will lead ALBA to be the largest aluminium smelter in the world.  

    The Project scope consists of engineering, procurement and construction of three GE 9 HA.01 Gas Turbines and three GE A650 Steam Turbines with 1x1x1 multishaft configuration. GAMA Power Systems is responsible for engineering and procurement of all BOP systems and overall construction works. Commissioning scope is limited with Consortium members’ own scope of supply systems only.

  • 1800 MW PP13 POWER PLANT INSTALLATION OF POWER ISLAND ME&I AND EQUIPMENT  1800 MW PP13 POWER PLANT INSTALLATION OF POWER ISLAND ME&I AND EQUIPMENT Riyadh / SAUDI ARABIA SEC (Saudi Electricity Company)

    Project Description

    GAMA Power Systems signed the contract with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) on 02 July 2015 for Installation of Power Island ME&I and Equipment at 1800 MW Power Plant PP13 Project located at North East of Riyadh around 30 km far from Dhurma city.

    Project Scope consists of electromechanical installations, pre-commissioning of 6 ea 7FA Gas Turbine, associated Generator and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), 6ea. 2ea GE Reheat Double Flow D11 type Steam Turbine, 5ea Generator Step-Up Transformers (GSU), 2ea Air Cooled Condenser Units (each of the units consists of 42 cells), and installation of Balance of Plant works together E&IC as well as the Process Buildings. In addition GAMA is undertaking the EPC responsibility of 380 kV GIS Unit as Turnkey basis, i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of GIS is under GAMA’s scope.

  • BOUFARIK 750 MW SIMPLE CYCLE POWER PLANT BOUFARIK 750 MW SIMPLE CYCLE POWER PLANT Boufarik / ALGERIA Sonelgaz

    Project Description

    Construction of a Gas Turbine Power Plant in Boufarik, with a total power output of 750 MW is to be realized for Sonelgaz,  Electrical and Gas Governmental Body in Algeria as EPC basis. GAMA Power Systems undertakes the responsibility of supply and erection of 3 GE 9FA gas turbines, main equipments as well as HV switchyard and all balance of plant equipments and spare parts including basic & detail design of the power plant, civil works, structural, electromechanical works erection, installation of electrical, instrumentation & control systems, test and commissioning, start-up works and training of the Employer’s personnel.

    With its completion the plant will generate energy around 4,000 GWh per year which will have a significant contribution to energy production in Algeria and provide electricity to more than   1 million homes by improving energy security in the country.

  • 2x150 MW KHABAT THERMAL POWER PLANT UNIT 1&2 2x150 MW KHABAT THERMAL POWER PLANT UNIT 1&2 Erbil / IRAQ POSCO Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd. (POSCO E&C)

    Project Description

    POSCO E&C signed an EPC Contract with Ministry of Electricity of Northern Iraq Regional Government for a 2 x 150 MW thermal power plant with 2 Fuel Oil/Diesel Fuel Oil Boiler and 2 Steam Turbine & Generator sets. GAMA Power Systems signed a sub-contractor agreement with POSCO E&C.

    Design and Procurement of Boiler, Steam Turbine, Condenser, FGD and Feed water pump is in the POSCO E&C’s Scope.
     
    POSCO will design Main Steam and Condensate / Feed Water Systems and GAMA will procure the pipes and equipment of these lines.
    Except above mentioned systems, design and procurement of project mechanical and electrical BOP Systems, all buildings and underground works will be executed by GAMA Power Systems. Additionally, GAMA Power Systems will execute the construction and erection works at site. 
     
    With its completion the plant will generate energy around 1,600 GWh per year which will have a significant contribution to energy production in Iraq andimprove energy security in the country.

  • 840 MW ZAKHO SIMPLE CYCLE ELECTRICAL POWER PLANT 840 MW ZAKHO SIMPLE CYCLE ELECTRICAL POWER PLANT Zakho / NORTH IRAQ Unit Investment N.V.

    Project Description

    GAMA Power Systems and Ansaldo Consortium signed the contract with Unit Investment N.V. for turnkey Zakho 840 MW Simple Cycle Power Plant project, located in North Iraq approximately 16 km away from Turkish border, on 17 October 2014.

    Plant is comprised of 3 x AE94.3A Gas Turbines, the turnkey contract scope includes all basic & detail design of the power plant, procurement of complete power plant main equipment as well as balance of plant equipment, civil works, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control systems.

    In addition to that test and commissioning, start-up works and training of the Employer’s personnel are to be performed in the course of project.
