    Project Description

    Hartha Unit-4 Rehabilitation project consists of rehabilitation of instruments and control system of Turbine and Boiler, Rehabilitation of generator and electrical equipments, rehabilitation of boiler runs on 4 types of fuel, rehabilitation of turbine and  increase the output of generator to its original value 200 MW and extend the lifetime of the Boiler, turbine and generator to 10 years.

    Project Description

    EPC Contract for Hamitabat 1200 MW Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant on a turnkey basis.
    1200 MW Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant which is comprised two units. Each unit is based on a single-shaft configuration, comprising of one gas turbine, one steam turbine, one generator (SGT5-8000H Gas Turbine, SST5-5000 Steam Turbine, SGen5-3000W Generator) and one Heat Recovery Steam Generator. The units is utilizing the existing dry cooling towers as a part of cooling system. Electricity is transferred to the grid via the existing substation which was refurbished.
     
    Within the project scope; GAMA Power Systems provided all major equipment as well as other auxiliary equipment, and managed all the conceptual and detail engineering of the plant, civil and electro mechanical works, instrument and control systems, test and commissioning works and training of the Employer’s staff.

    Project Description

    EPC Contract for Modernization of 390 MW Kazan CHPP-3 on a turnkey basis.
    Modernization of Kazan CHPP-3 envisages delivery and installation of 1 piece of GE 9HA 01 gas turbine, 1 piece of GE H28.56 generator, 1 piece of CMI double-pressure HRSG. The scope of modernization project also includes all necessary ancillary plant equipment and modification of the existing switchyard.

    Project Description

    Construction of a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) in Kırıkkale with a total power output of 840 MW is to be realized for İç Anadolu Doğalgaz Elektrik Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş. GE STAG 209 9FB MS, is to be used in the power plant which is designed for 30 years lifespan. GAMA Power Systems and GE Energy as consortium undertakes the responsibility of supply and erection of 2 GE 9FB gas turbines, 1 GE steam turbines, 2 Doosan HRSG’s, Air Cooled Condenser, 380 kV HV switchyard as well as all balance of plant equipment under an EPC contract. Within this scope, basic & detail design of the power plant, civil works, structural, electro mechanical works, erection, installation of electrical, instrumentation & control systems, test and commissioning, start-up works and training of the Employer’s personnel is to be performed in the course of project.

    The project, İç Anadolu Combined Cycle Power Plant will generate about 6,300 GWh Energy which corresponds 2.5% of total national Energy consumption and almost 50% of Ankara’s energy consumption.

    Project Description

    GAMA Power Systems – Alstom Consortium’s scope for this project is to construct a combined cycle cogeneration power plant which is comprised of one Alstom 13E2 gas turbine unit (GT), one; two pressure heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and one Alstom 8CK76 steam turbine (ST) on EPC basis. The power block is a combined cycle power block in multi-shaft arrangement and with a net power output of 227 MWe and a heat extraction of 160 MWt for the supply of district heating water, plus balance of plant equipment necessary for the plant’s operation. EPC contract includes all basic & detailed design of the power plant, procurement of all power plant equipment, all civil, structural works, all mechanical erection works, installation of all electrical, instrumentation and control systems. The contract also includes commissioning, start-up works and training of client's personnel.

    Project Description

    Project is a natural gas/fuel oil fired combine cycle plant providing a nominal 300 MW electrical output. The power island consists of two GE combustion turbine generators, which feed exhaust gases to two Nooter Eriksen HRSGs, which in turn feed steam to a single Fuji steam turbine generator set. The plant fires natural gas fuel and fuel oil. Power is generated at 15 kV in the CTGs and 15 kV in the STG, and then stepped up through individual transformers to the Jordan grid voltage at 400 kV. Plant auxiliary power is back-fed from the grid or GSUs through an auxiliary transformer on each CTG bus. EPC contract includes all basic & detailed design of the power plant, procurement of all power plant equipment, all civil, structural works, all mechanical erection works, installation of all electrical, instrumentation and control systems. The contract also includes commissioning, start-up works and training of client's personnel.

    Project Description

    Tynagh Energy Limited has built Galway's first power generation facility. The circa €300 million power plant is a modern state-of-the art facility using the latest in advanced engineering technology. It uses the cleanest available fuel, natural gas, which significantly reduces emissions of carbon dioxide. For the first time, Galway city and the region has a reliable and efficient source of power.

    Scope of Work

    • Commercial Operation Date (COD): Construction of the Tynagh Energy Limited power plant was completed and reached COD on the 29th of March, 2006 and was commissioned as agreed under the terms of the award with the CER.
    • Project financing: Joint financing has been arranged by Royal Bank of Scotland, KBC Bank, Ulster Bank and IIB Bank. Financial close was achieved on the 27th of August, 2004.
    • Project refinancing: The refinancing follows GAMA Construction’s sale of a 40% stake in TEL (Tynagh Energy Limited) to GE Energy Financial Services in May 2006. The same banks have refinanced existing non-recourse debt for Tynagh Energy Limited.
    • Electricity sales: Under the terms of the award from CER, 89% of output will be sold to ESB and 11% will be traded via BGE Trading Ireland Ltd.
    • Life-span of power plant: Approximately 30 years
    • Fuel type: Natural gas, distillate oil (back-up)
    • Fuel source: BGE is supplying the gas using bord gais ring main pipeline to transport it to the new power plant.

    The power plant was built under a turn-key contract with a consortium of General Electric Company / General Electric International Inc. and GAMA Power Systems Inc. The gas turbine used was a GE 9FA design. F-class gas turbines were developed in the late 1980s and are considered commercially proven with a track record of high availability and reliability. The steam turbine is a GE A15 ‘HEAT’ (high efficiency advanced technology) model, with a GE 9A5 electrical generator. The designs of both the A15 steam turbine and the 9A5 electrical generator were developments from previous GE models that are fully proven technology. These are logical evolutions from previous models and incorporate GE’s comprehensive design process and field-testing facilities which are without doubt world-class.

Circulated Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler, 2 sets Siemens steam turbine generators and one ea. 38 bar (a), 425oC steam supply, 60 ton/hr. capacity package type boiler, coal and limestone storage buildings including all auxiliary components.

    Project Description

    Based on PPA, the project is a fully privately financed and constructed on turn-key basis with two significant phases:

    1. Construction of 150 MW (established capacity) combined cycle diesel power plant (consist of 13 each 11 MW engines and one 9.5 MW steam turbune & generator),
    2. Operation of the power plant for 5 years with 8,760 hr/year and 130 MW-100% availability. 

    EPC contract includes all basic & detailed design of the power plant, procurement of all power plant equipment, all civil, structural works, all mechanical erection works, installation of all electrical, instrumentation and control systems. The contract also includes commissioning, start-up works and training of client's personnel. Operation of the plant is also in the scope of GAMA.

    Project Description

    Turn-key design, supply and construction of a natural gas fired cogeneration plant, comprising two GE frame 6B gas turbine generators (39.5 MW capacity each) and two HRSG’s (each generating 80 tons/hr of medium pressure and 4 tons/hr of low pressure steam), including all auxiliary components.

    Scope of Work

    BWG was responsible for the followings;

    • Design, supply and construction of all civil and structural works,
    • Design, supply and manufacturing and erection of two horizontal natural circulation type heat recovery steam generators, complete with gas divertors, silencors and by-pass stacks. HRSG’s manufactured in GAMA factory, Ankara,
    • Design, supply and installation of “Balance of Plant” equipment, mainly comprising dearators, boiler feed water system, HVAC system, fire extinguishing and alarm system, piping, medium and low voltage electrical systems, complete DCS systems including field equipment and UPS system,
    • Erection of generators, steam turbine and associated equipment (supplied by ELIN),
    • Testing, start-up and commissioning.
