The GAMA Group, commenced its operations in 1959 and, in 1963, within the scope of its first project as an energy contractor, it undertook and successfully completed the boiler erection works of the Mersin Thermal Power Plant. Shortly after this achievement, GAMA became the first Turkish company to receive a certificate of qualification from the World Bank to construct industrial plants.  With this qualification, GAMA undertook the general assembly works of the 4x25 MW Mersin Thermal Power Plant in 1964, and opened the era of “turnkey industrial plant construction” in Tırkye and became Turkey’s first energy contractor.

Over the years, GAMA has grown remarkably and become one of the pioneering firms in its sector with its accrued experience in turnkey construction, manufacturing and erection of industrial plants, power plants and pipelines and in the construction of infrastructure facilities, high rise buildings, housing complexes and commercial centers.
With the experience gained in Turkey, GAMA Group companies expanded their operations abroad to the Middle East, Russia, CIS Countries, South East Asia, North Africa and Ireland starting in the early 1970s.
