In 1970, these activities were brought together under the umbrella of GAMA Industrial Plant Manufacturing and Construction Inc. Among GAMA Industry Inc.’s many completed projects there are a number of ‘firsts’ for Turkey: the first high pressure pipeline (Murgul-Hopa Concentrated Copper Pipeline); the first undersea crossing pipeline (Bosphorus Crossing); the first ash dam (Soma-B Power Plant Ash Dam); the first Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant (Çayırhan Power Plant); the first metro system (Ankara subway); and the first large-scale Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Project (Birecik Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant). Other highly specialized technical projects recently completed by GAMA Industry Inc. include the design and construction of an 8.5 km-long single-line downhill coal conveyor line with horizontal and vertical curves between the Deniş Coal Mines and the Soma-B Power Plant; the design and construction of a material homogenization stock hall with a circumferential span of 102 meters and height of 33.7 meters for the Unye Cement Plant; and the manufacture of 10.5 m-diameter, 64 ton extreme precision generator rotor spiders for the Birecik Hydroelectric Power Plant.
