During its 52 years of operations, GAMA has become a reputable international company with a strong financial structure and specialist workforce that conducts quality and timely business in both domestic and international markets. Such a strong position has been attained with the successful efforts of its partners and employees all guided by principles and values of honesty, professionalism, respect for people and society, productivity, teamwork, customer focus and continuous development.
 
In contrast to many peers, GAMA has a broad shareholder base, presently consisting of  45 individuals, none of whom alone constitutes a majority in the management of the company. This fact, in reality, has always been a driving force to GAMA since its establishment to adhere voluntarily to the core guiding principles of good governance: fairness, transparency, accountability and responsibility.

GAMA also believes that adherence to corporate governance principles within the company should evolve as its operations develop and as corporate governance policies and practices change in order to be able to benchmark itself in a global context and to communicate with its shareholders.

One of the major objectives of GAMA’s decision in going through a restructuring process in 2003 has been to provide an effective structural base for the already adopted corporate governance policies so that these principles could well function and provide transparency of the whole Group in its steps aimed at reaching a higher level of institutionalization in response to the continuous growth of its domestic and international operations.

GAMA is also one of the pioneers in Turkey in formally adopting the corporate governance rules advised by the Capital Markets Board in its articles of association and currently has Corporate Governance and Audit Committees functioning in its organization.

While showing respect to societal values in line with corporate governance principles, GAMA is well aware of the requirement of contributing to the next generations with the same values, as well as meeting the expectations of all of its shareholders and stakeholders by bearing the responsibility that comes with success.
